Burger Bowls

These burger bowls are on the weekly rotation in our house! They are packed full of all the things you love in a burger but without the bun. If you don’t like beef, you can always swap out the beef for a turkey or even black bean burger if you aren’t doing Whole 30. My favorite part has to be the home made fries… SO good! These bowls have so much flavor and are Whole 30 friendly as well! AKA: free of dairy, gluten, soy, legumes and added sugar.

PS- I am not a cook and pretty much eyeball everything so most things don’t have exact measurements but you get the idea. :)

INGREDIENTS

BOWLS

  • 1 lb ground beef | We always have left overs since we only cook for two

  • Greens of choice | My favorite is green leaf lettuce

  • Handful of tomatoes halved

  • Chopped red onion

  • Sliced dill pickles (no sugar added for Whole30) | If you like pickles… this makes the bowl

  • Avocado

FRIES

  • Potato or sweet potato if you like those more

  • Olive oil

  • Salt

  • Pepper

  • Chili powder

SPECIAL SAUCE (if making)

  • 1/3 cup mayo | I like this one!

  • 1 tablespoon mustard

  • 3 tablespoons ketchup | I like this one!

  • 1 tablespoon dill seasoning

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

HOW TO MAKE

  1. Cut your potato in half, lay the flat side on the cutting board and cut into fries! Throw them into a mixing bowl with the olive oil and spices to coat them. Add them to your air fryer for about 18 minutes on 400 degrees! Note: all air fryers are different so check on them often.

  2. While the fries are cooking, make the special sauce. Whisk all ingredients together in a small bowl until combined and set in the fridge. If you want to skip the homemade sauce, I’m obsessed with the Tessemae’s Classic Ranch!

  3. Put your ground beef into patties, season with salt and pepper, and cook to your liking!

  4. Once the meat and fries are done, add the greens to your bowl and top with tomatoes, onions, pickles, the beef and the fresh fries. Drizzle the sauce or ranch and enjoy! You can also add avocado slices.
