five foot something best of 2018

Happy New Year friends!! I hope 2018 was full of laughter, good times, and growth. It’s funny how we always start the new year wishing for it to be better than the last but sometimes you can find the beauty in the tough times. I mean after all, they make you who you are! 2018 was definitely the year of learning for me. Learning how to adapt to a new job. Learning how to launch a blog, which has been a dream of mine for years. Learning how to balance all of it. Learning how to adjust after college and so much more. It has been a wild year and most importantly, it’s been the year where I feel like I finally finding myself! In today’s post, I just wanted to sum up the best of 2018! Some of my favorite blog posts (& some of yours too based on the views), best Five Foot Something moments, best life moments and more… but most of all, I’m sharing my word for 2019 and the goals I have set for myself. Hoping this post can help or inspire someone else out there who is feeling the same! Here we goooooo….. :)

BEST FIVE FOOT SOMETHING MOMENTS

  • Meeting my photographer (and now great friend), Emily with Deeply Rooted Photography! She truly has transformed my brand and has helped me build this little hobby into something I could’ve only dreamed of!

  • Relaunching my website with amazing team at Makers! They made my dream website come to life and taught me so much about building a brand and a website. I am forever thankful to work with them!

  • Hosting an event with Ann Taylor at the Fashion Mall at Keystone! I had so much fun meeting new faces and reconnecting with familiar ones. I got to style and chat with some amazing people. It was one of my favorite moments of the year! :)

  • Working with some amazing brands/companies I could have only dreamed of in my first year of blogging! BIG Brands such as Lancome Paris, Fabletics, Yes To, JORD, and more! Local brands such as Nails By Neat, Haus Image, Crossover Boutique, Ripple BNB, and more. Someone pinch me!!

  • Connecting with the most amazing people from all over the United States. I have met some of my best friends on Instagram this year and some, I never even met in real life! Sounds crazy, I know, but they are the most amazing group of women and I feel so blessed!!

BEST LIFE MOMENTS

  • The birth of my sweet baby niece, Ella Joon, who has completely stolen my heart

  • Girls weekend in Chicago with my best friends since high school

  • Landed a new job and work with the most amazing people and brands

  • Cut 4 inches off my hair and felt like a brand new woman (thanks Hannah)

  • Found an amazing church that makes me feel right at home and helps me grow in my faith

  • Celebrated 2 years with my sweet boyfriend— Aaron

  • Spent Christmas in Cabo with my family

WHAT’S TO COME IN 2019

I’m choosing a word to live by in 2019 and I’m will keep it at the center of everything I do (whether that be in blogging or in life) to help me grow in the year to come. My word for 2019 is INTENTIONAL! Everything I post, spend my time on, spend my time with will be intentional. Striving to have a purpose in 2019 and spend time on the things that matter and that make a difference. I’m hoping this will help me better serve ya’ll in posting the things that are helpful and help me manage my time so I can spend less time scrolling through Instagram or worrying about a caption and spend more time on my health, people I love, and more!

I am so thankful for each and every one of you who takes the time to read my blogs, comment on my photos, DM me funny responses, shop my links + more! I love this little corner of the internet with the community we are building, the friendships we are creating, and the relationships that are forming. Thank YOU for trusting me with sharing fashion and beauty tips and letting me be 100% me. I love you all and let’s get this year started, shall we?!

Did you have a favorite blog post of mine from this year? I would LOVE to hear!

Remember, you don't need to be a model to look and feel amazing nor do you have to spend big bucks to do so. All you need is a little confidence and a killer shade of lipstick!
