2019 FALL TRENDS I'M LOVING

Hi friend! Happy October šŸ˜Š Crazy to say but SO excited for fall. Itā€™s been a hot summer here in Indy so I am ready for chilly mornings and crisp air. Today, I am switching it up on FFS and doing something a little different! Each season I like to look through fashion magazines, online publishers and other style outlets to find the trends for the upcoming season. Instead of doing this by myself this year, I thought I would bring you all along and share what I am LOVING! I rounded up all my favorite inspo and put it into one post for you to always reference back to.  If youā€™re interested in hearing what my favorite fall fashion trends are in 2019 then just keep on reading.

asymmetrical lines for fall

1.       Asymmetrical Lines

I noticed this trend a couple weeks ago when I kept seeing these asymmetrical tops! There are so many ways to incorporate this into your wardrobe either with tops, skirts, dresses and sweaters. I think itā€™s a modern take on the ā€œoff the shoulderā€ trend weā€™ve been seeing for a few years now! Personally, I think this would be more universally flattering on different body types especially with skirts. Elongates the legs and takes a more detailed approach. This trend would pair so well with items you already have in your closet like jeans, paper bag pants, sweaters and more! I am definitely on the hunt to find a new piece to add to my closet. I have linked some of my favorites so far below!

midi skirt trend

2.       Printed Midi Skirt

The summer trend of the printed midi skirt is here to stay (yay!) and I couldnā€™t be more excited. Trade out your body suits and t shirts for chunky sweaters and a sleek leather jacket! I love pairing my leopard midi skirt with fun belt and a pair of black booties or white tennis shoes. These are just so comfy and easy to style that I find myself reaching for it more often than I thought when I bought it. I have been obsessing over the silk midi skirts so I think I want to find a moody floral to add to my closet! I showed some of my favorites here šŸ˜Š

thin turtleneck layers

3.       Thin Turtleneck Layers

The trend that took me by surprise has me thinking of 100 different ways I can try it for myself! Adding think turtleneck layers is such a great way to wear your spring and summer rompers and dresses but make them appropriate for fall. Spoiler alert: I am an outfit repeater! I love to take items from season to season and restyle them to fit the weather and I think the thin turtleneck is an easy way to do this. I am dying over these sheer turtleneck tops under dresses and overalls! I think they look a little bit dressier and make a turtleneck sexy. I rounded up some of my favorites just in case you love this trend as much as I do!

jewel tones for fall

4.       Jewel Tones

The fall trend that never goes out of style, jewel tones! This might be one of my favorites because I think jewel tones look good on EVERYONE. No matter if your blonde, brunette, black or white they are flattering colors to the eye. I found so much inspo on this it was hard to condense it down for you but itā€™s so good to see that we have options this year! Not only are there tops and sweaters but there are silk dresses, corduroy skirts, silky maxi skirts and even Sherpa coats. I. AM. SO. EXCITED! I went a little crazy and now I have my eye on a few things that I will link here for you too.

blazer trends for fall

5.       Blazer Styling

And last but certainly not leastā€¦ the trend that every Instagrammer is loving, blazer styling! We have seen the oversized blazers take over our IG feeds but for good reason. It is an easy way to take office to everyday and maximize your wardrobe which you know I am all about. Instead of seeing them styled over your favorite graphic tee and a pair of jeans, we are now seeing them in a couple of new ways! They are now going from oversized to cropped. Yes, cropped blazers (also called boxed blazers) are here and I am surprisingly digging it. I think itā€™s a great trend for petite women because it is easy to feel like your swimming in the oversized ones. We are also seeing them not only paired over dressed but now they ARE dresses/rompers! (See bottom left photo) I think they look so different and suuuuper sleek. If you havenā€™t hopped on the trend yet donā€™t worry, Iā€™ve found some affordable oneā€™s for you!

Ok friend, what did you think?! This was a newer type of post for me and Iā€™d love to hear what you think. Was that helpful? Do you need more information? Whatā€™s your favorite? I need to know everything!! Like I said, I usually do this for myself to help find the newest trends for the season, but I thought it would be fun to share with you too. Canā€™t wait to hear all your feedback!
